Meet Our Team

Our team of professionals have over 100 years of combined experience utilizing the principles of biomechanics, physiology, respiration and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT®) to change the lives of our clients.

Chad Simmons

Owner, Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist & MATRx certified

As Owner of Simmons Rehab & Wellness, Chad Simmons brings over 25 years of knowledge and experience to his patients when they step through the doors of his practice. Growing up in a rural area near Mansfield Ohio, Chad came to The Ohio State University to study math & actuarial science. Soon after getting his first job as an actuary, Chad realized this wasn’t his calling, so he went back to school to become a physical therapist. Working directly with people and using math/physics to improve their lives peaked his passion and didn’t even feel like work to him. This set into motion a habit of lifelong learning to increasingly understand the human body and its interconnectedness — this is what has led to the company’s approach to problem solving and treatment algorithms that create the best outcome for their clients.

Chad & Suzy have been married for 22 years and together they have three wonderful daughters. Chad is very involved in church and the kids’ activities. He is passionate about most things that involve health innovation. He loves the outdoors and anything fast or involving a ball, including biking, skiing and golfing.

Suzy Simmons

Operations & Concierge

An integral part of Simmons Rehab & Wellness, Suzy is often acknowledged as the backbone of the business. Suzy brings to the table a massive heart for clients who are negatively impacted due to injury or more commonly poor health habits. As a very active person herself, she longs to see clients take control of their health and do the things they love to do. Suzy has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kent State University and also has a knack for bookkeeping. She and Chad work in tandem to try to bring clients the best of the best.

Suzy and Chad have been married for 22 years and in the process have raised three wonderful daughters, two of whom are actively involved in the business. When she’s not around the office, Suzy is very involved in church activities and supporting her daughters in their many adventures. She also enjoys running, biking and travel. You might even see her out on the golf course with Chad!

Stephanie Goodstein

Concierge

Joining us in 2022, Stephanie brings her positive energy and compassion to our office. She excels at building relationships with our clients, in order to understand and exceed clients’ needs. Stephanie grew up in Virginia, graduated from the College of William and Mary, and completed her MBA at Indiana University. She worked and lived in Chicago for 10 years. Then she moved with her husband and two kids to Dublin, OH where they have lived for the past 16 years.

With the adult kids out of the house, Stephanie often enjoys exploring hiking trails and metro parks with her husband, Jon, and a pair of binoculars to spot birds. Their dog, Tanner, loves these hikes too, although spotting birds and wrangling a dog sniffing out critters doesn’t mix well. An avid reader, Stephanie enjoys sharing books with family and friends, and always has an unread stack on the shelf thanks to her mom. Steph’s biggest joy is spending time with friends and family on trips to new places near and far.

A farm boy at heart, Kyle really enjoys most things outdoors along with his two children and their Rottweiler.

When not working, Kyle coaches his kids in their various sports and loves attending and supporting Ohio sports, especially Ohio State football, Cleveland Browns and the Columbus Crew.

Matt Phillips

Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist

A certified MAT Specialist and graduate of Liberty University with a BS in Exercise Science, Matt brings to our team 3 years of experience, a fresh perspective and a desire to see his clients thrive. A cool fact about Matt is that he moved all the way to Columbus from Floral Park, New York to join our team.

When he’s not helping clients, you can catch him on the slopes, playing drums, golfing or doing whatever outdoor activity he can find. Something that no one would guess about Matt is that he’s a recorded artist on Spotify.

Allie Simmons

Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist

It is always exciting to see the next generation join the family business. For 20 years, Allie watched her dad do physical therapy and was interested from day one. She did her first gait analysis when she was 3 years old on her grandma- even as a toddler she could tell that her grandma wasn't walking right!

Allie completed her MAT Specialist training in Colorado in 2019 and is currently studying at The Ohio State University to become a Physical Therapist.

She loves working with people and is passionate about helping them get out of pain so they can get back to enjoying life. Allie is the oldest of 3 girls (and a Doberman Pinscher). Outside of work, she is very involved in her church, Young Life and beach volleyball leagues.

Renae Tonon

Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist

Renae is a dedicated MAT Specialist with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University. Growing up immersed in sports, she has always had a passion for helping others, optimizing their physical health and performance. Renae began her journey at Simmons Rehab as a summer intern and has blossomed into a mature professional who understands her client’s needs and educating them along the road to better health.

Outside of work, Renae loves playing pickleball and volleyball. Staying active is a huge part of life, and she believes it’s important to have fun while moving. She enjoys helping others discover their own potential through being active and taking care of their bodies.
